AWS made two agent announcements in a week.

## Amazon Quick Suite, now available (October 9)

Quick Suite bundles research, business intelligence and automation agents into one workplace product. QuickSight becomes Quick Sight inside it, and existing QuickSight customers were upgraded without a data migration. The suite includes Quick Index, Quick Research, Quick Sight, Quick Flows, Quick Automate and chat agents.

## Bedrock AgentCore, generally available (October 13)

AgentCore entered preview in July. It is now generally available. It covers the parts of running agents in production that every team ends up building:

1. **Runtime, Memory and Identity** for hosting agents and controlling what they can access.
2. **Gateway**, which turns existing APIs into MCP tools and can now connect to existing MCP servers.
3. **Browser, Code Interpreter and Observability** for tools and monitoring.
4. **A2A support** in Runtime, plus VPC, PrivateLink and CloudFormation support.

## Why it matters

AgentCore is infrastructure: it solves hosting, identity and wiring. Quick Suite is the business-facing side. Between them, an AWS customer can now stand up an agent that reaches its data without writing much plumbing.

The plumbing was never the hard part of getting a right answer. When Gateway turns an API into an MCP tool, the tool carries the API's field names, not the business's definitions. That gap is now the main thing standing between a working agent and a trusted one.
